So Rendog, aka "Darran Chaisoon", tell us all about "Experts Choice", Waterton National Park.

What's the grade? Height? How was the climb?

You don't seem to be smiling in the picture on page 3 of the current Gripped. That's you out front, isn't it?

actually man I'm on page 67.

The guy on the cover is my "outwest" partner Nick. We look the same because we're wearing the same jacket. mike tittel, the photographer had us in the Cloudveil Prospect Jacket (c) for both shoots.

Expert's Choice in Waterton is an amazing line. Image

it takes the plum line up through the middle of the massive wall just outside the townsite. a realitivly moderate 40 min hike will get you up to the base of the climb, where you can expect a moderate WI4 with a massive cave at the top formed but the prevailing chinook winds. a WI6 goes up the middle where I am in the pic and a WI5+ on the right. usually either the 6 or the 5 form each year, and once in a whlie both will form.

the pic in the mag is Ice Nine WI6+ at Rampart Creek on the highway between Lake Louise and Jasper.

plus they spelled my name wrong agian in the mag, but at least this time it's a bit closer

You are behind the times, my friend. The Dec./Jan. issue has you on those pages, but the Feb./March issue has you on page 3. I will try and remember to throw them in my car. Peter
