Diadem Peak vid from this weekend

Postby szymiec » Tue Jul 25, 2006 2:54 pm

Yeah yeah, this is the one where I caught the rock with my face.

The footage is a little lacking after the 'event' as i was more concerned with getting off of that bloddy face. No pun intended.ha

may contain some bad words...

Anyone want to come out for some fun?

nice, how long was the approach to camp?

Just wondering what kind of camera do you have, and what editing software do you use, we just got back from a wicked week in the western bugaboo's (vowells) and have a lot of pano movies and chopper clips. it would be nice to piece the best stuff together and make a nice video montage.

I always wear my glasses and I always ask for the strongest shatter proof lenses they have.

How long are you in Alberta climbing?

Mathieu,

I've got ADOBE Premiere cracked if you want it.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Hey Mat,

The apporoach to Wolley and Diadem is about 3.5 hours. It is one of, if not my favorite apporach ive ever done. The bivy is currently my favorite place on earth. I am planning on pushing a new route up that massive SE face of Wolley someday. It is still unclimbed. It is soo soo bad ass. Someday, winter i reckon. I want to ski in there this winter if i'm back from the Himalayas in time, and check out the line. It looks like about a 2500ft ice climb. hahahah. LIke i said, someday...

I would recommend that hike and climb to anyone anytime. I love it.

I just have a little fujifilm s5000. I edit with Adobe Premiere.

I think we are going to go for Resplendent or the Helmet this wekend if you are feeling the need to see the Emporer Face up close and personal. I leave for asia on August 21st. Yo!

Now thats funny!
ha

Mat, you can also use that Windows Movie Maker to do a quick splice. Its pretty lame though. Its sorta like iMovie on the mac. Just the basic drag and drop editing. It should be on an Xp computer.

Premiere is easy to pick up. The interface is a little intimidating however and it may want to render all of your clips. I am really starting to hate it.

My next system will have to be a Mac. This multimedia on a PC is really holding true to those new Apple commercials.
