Just got back from Skaha.

Lake, warm sun, sport climbs, 4hrs from Van, 7hrs from Cowtown

You do the math

Man, I hear the weather was great there this weekend.

We were supposed to be there as well but our trip fell through last month. I really need to get back there.

Actually the weather sucked ass, it was beautiful on the drive there Friday but rained out on Saturday, Sunday started off sunny and hot but then a light breeze started and next thing you know we were racing back to the campsite to rescue our stuff from a gale storm. Monday was just overcast and spitting, overall you missed one day of good climbing. Overall a fun trip, not really a climbing trip but was fun nonetheless

The best time to go to Skaha is before the May long weekend. There's usually fewer people at the crags, and while most of the campgrounds are closed, there are a couple that will let you set up a tent for a night or two and not charge anything.

We went the weekend after easter last year and the campgrounds were open.
