Yeah, the lack of sensitivity and flexibility in his left leg may have contributed to the fall. Still, that is an impressive prosthetic. I wonder how it could be improved to make it better for climbing? Maybe if an actuator was put in the knee joint with a remote control the climber could hold in his mouth and manipulate with his tung. That would allow him to bend it when necessary for those awkward scrunches.
I knew a guy who used to climb at Rock Works who had a prosthetic arm. He had to take it off to climb, because he had already broken it once climbing and they are expensive. Normal prosthetics aren’t really made for that sort of abuse, so I was impressed that the climber shown here seemed to have a more sturdy prosthetic.
