ice festival?

[new to NB]

I heard somthing about a ice festivel next weekend, does any one know any thing about it. Is it open to any one cane you go if you dont have a rope? thanks any info would be great i just moved here from alberta and have not climbed all year!! i want to go

Yup, it's at Welsford next weekend, with a party/slideshow at Steve Adamson's place in Rothsay afterwards. Everyone is welcome. You don't need your own ropes, there will be many top-ropes set-up. You should probably bring your own ice gear, ie boots, crampons, helmet etc.. Or go with a freind who can lend you all that stuff. Follow the link from this page to Joe Kennedy's "Ice Climbing in NB" site. He will post the detail there.

I have all my own stuff exrcpt a rope so i should be good to go? thanks for the info i will cheack the web site for info and and map on how to get there?
