Role Description
Maritime DayTripping is looking for an outgoing, friendly, and motivated team player who can contribute to growing year-round outdoor adventure business. Working closely with the company owner, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering adventure skills to groups and individuals. Although the majority of the work will be Monday-Friday, there will be a need to work evenings and weekends.

About Maritime DayTripping
DayTripping is a year-round outdoor adventure business. Our office and base of operations is in Saint John, NB's Rockwood Park. DayTripping offers adventure experiences and rentals in all seasons.

Role Responsibilities
• Deliver safe & enjoyable - canoe/kayak/SUP/Interpretative/bike/hike/snowshoe/cross-country ski and climbing programs
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business
• Organize and maintain the office area
• Respond to telephone and email inquires
• Some retail sales

IMPORTANT NOTE: Applicants must have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution (College or University) between 2011 & 2015, ideally in recreation, education or tourism.

Preferred Qualifications
• Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Recreation (preferably outdoor adventure) or related field in the last 4-years
• 1+ years’ experience in the outdoor adventure industry
• Ideally has Industry recognizes certifications (Paddle Canada, PCIA, ACMG etc) – including First Aid & CPR
• Clean Police Record Check
• Strong networking skills
• Ability to exercise good judgement and protect confidential information
• Friendly, personable and able to build harmonious relationships
• Strong yet fun attitude working with kids 6+

Compensation
• Competitive starting salary for a minimum of 30-hours/week. The employment is for minimum of 10-months, and may be extended. Employment ideally starts December 1, 2015 but could start as late as January 1st, 2016.
• Industry Training and certification will be available for the successful candidate with Paddle Canada, Wilderness First Aid, Professional Climbing Instructors Association, and Rescue Canada.
