climbing magazines

Postby martha » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:10 am

Hey all,

Fred and I have 2 big boxes of climbing, rock and ice and gripped magazines that we plan to recycle. If any of you want them let me know in the next few days and I'll hang on to them until you pick them up. Though, hopefully that will be by March 15th or they will get recycled anyways.

They range from about 2002/3 - 2007 when we had full subscriptions to all three. They are in great shape and have lots of beta, articles and flashy gear shots. LOL

Cheers.

Cara

Wow! We hang onto all of Nathan's old Climbing and R&I mags. Going through the old ones is kinda like going through history. They're good too, like, really good. Much better than what they publish these days.

I don't know why you're not hanging onto them anymore, but I think someone out there will enjoy them and give them a second life.

Well, we aren't hanging on to them as they have been boxed up in the basement for over a year... so doubtful we'll go through them again... and I am packing the house up to move while Fred is in Vegas... so I'm doing what is easiest for me... LOL. He'll just have to accept that I guess!

We asked the UNB club if they wanted them and they did not. so Adam, if you want them, no problem. I'll make sure they are set aside. They are chronologically in the boxes and labelled so easy for research.

okay, looks like I am going to keep the Gripped as we have nearly all the issues since the beginning of time. However, there are about 2 years of Urban Climber and some SheSends in the boxes to give away.

I can't believe that we once subscribed to 5 climbing magazines! LOL. Now we have 1 climbing magazine, a parenting mag, a pilates mag and an outdoor photographer mag.... I'm pleased to say that perhaps we've branched out! More out of necessity I think than anything else! :)

Let me know when/if anyone can pick them up. I sure am not lifting those boxes again.

Fred will be home from about 5:30 on. 7-8pm is bedtime for the kids... you may want to avoid that.

Do you feed them bedtime snacks?

I bet Adam would be down for some snacks too.

Well, I don't share Maxime's bedtime snack with anyone... LOL. though, MF often has a muffin or yogourt. pretty exciting stuff.

Heh... I would run with that, but I'd end up violating the TOU and have to give myself a time out.

What ever happened to ice cream for bedtime snacks?

A thread with so many straight lines, I don't know where to start. Suffice to say, mine are off to university and high school next year, so no need to hide the climbing porn, I can take it out of the basement. Martha: when you leaving the nest again? It must be Stars on Ice time again! PDaddy

Hey Peter,

Yes, it is soon Stars on Ice time, but I won't be there this year sadly. I doubt I"ll be out of the next until a trip to Boston the first week of May.... going the wrong way for you hun.

Hopefully once the weather is nice we'll get the brood down to Hali for some bouldering. Perhaps Boulderfest this year..... we'll see. :)
