Nepal anyone? Yeah you...

Postby szymiec » Wed Dec 26, 2007 11:19 am

Hi east coasters,

I am looking for some people to join me and another on an unguided expedition to the 6440M Cholatse SW ridge in Nepal. I am running it as a non commercial trip. We will be climbing 2 trekking peaks in preparation for Cholatse which i would like to try to climb right a the beginning of the winter season. FYI, this is a very technical and serious alpine climb.

--ALSO--
Some of you all have expressed interest in the Everest Base Camp trek. I am also trying to get a group together for this one in May as well as September or October.

If you would like to talk about this please contact me at

Happy Holidays
Chris

When is the beginning of the winter season?
How much do you expect it to cost?
How long would it be?
If women ruled the world there would be no wars, just be a bunch of jealous countries not talking to each other.

When is the beginning of the winter season?
December 1st. This is when i want to establish base camp on Cholatse.

How much do you expect it to cost?
Depending on the size of the team and level of support I/we decide on ie climbing sherpa support, level of base camp services, i estimate anywhere between 2000-3500 CND.

I am planning on climbing Parchermo peak 6187M first to acclimatize.

All services Kathmandu to Kathmandu. Local flights, 2 days before and after trip in Kathmandu Hotel (4star), flights to Lukla, Base camp cook, base camp services, all mountain tents, fuel ect.

How long would it be?
4 weeks minimum.

I currently have 3 members already 'interested' in the expedition. I am trying to build a strong team that will have good chances of success. I am simply going to be the expedition leader, not a guide in the traditional sense.

This trip is still in the very beginning stages of planning. I'm sorry i cant be more specific with prices.

Peace out
Chris
