I couldn't agree with you more. I wasn't gonna even bother, but I figured "meh". I ain't got flowers else to do. I didn't intend to give you the impression I meant you by those less savvy..

Dude, with that sweet dancing Scorpion as an avatar, I am surprised you didn't invent the internet.

Back on subject. Although I am agnostic, I try to be as holly as possible. I like those general principles.

New Religion

Postby Lisa-the-NP » Mon Jan 17, 2005 10:11 pm

Too funny! I missed the beginning of this conversation, but actually posted the New Religion page at the climbing wall at NBCC-SJ in the fall. There was a lot of talk about trad vs sport vs plastic and newbie vs experienced and a bit of ego to boot. I learned to climb out west and was "blessed" to have met and climbed with a few of the good guys (Jeff Lakes, Simon Parboosing) before they met their early demise. From them and other climbers I learned a lot about tolerance and acceptance. Ironically this whole subject of religion has been way too "in my face" over the last few months. Spirituality is where it's at! My "church" has no walls or roof, only a sky and a horizon. As for worship - we all do it in our own way.
Climb-on, no matter how or way - just do it safe.

Question: I have reason to believe that I am a tool. No wait, there's a specific reason, not just my general behavior. A "friend" of mine (I use the term loosely) believes that your dancing icon is none other than MC HAMMER himself. Now, I myself, being less of a child of the 80's (or 90's, or whenever the frig MC Hammer was around), I thought this was Scorpion from the old Mortal Kombat game, there was this thing where he danced. I think. I dunno, I could be on crack.. I was pretty sure though.

Please clarify, using a few insults (towards me) and as many insults towards my anonymous friend as possible.

Remarkable that you were able to give us such a vivid comparison. Can this Scorpion guy be shrunk down to 100 pixels high? Mitchleblanc seems to be a fan. Although his current avatar is very cool as well.
