GPS wrist watch

Postby Fred » Sat Jan 15, 2011 11:12 am

Does anyone have any recommendations for GPS wrist watches? I'm interested in distance and time calculations only to minimized features and price.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

I have a Garmin Forerunner 305 that I use for running and as a cycling computer. It is NOT a navigation or mapping device, but provides all kinds of distance, time, pace/speed type of data. It supports a heart rate monitor and cadence sensor and the data can be downloaded to various software packages.

It's a fairly old model, and is big and bulky, but can be found on sale these days for less than $150 ($145 right now on Amazon.ca).

thx Paul.

I've had a few other people recommend the same model so sounds like the weapon of choice for most.

cheers

If you get one, SportTracks is a great program for logging data, mapping where you've been, etc. Even the free version is much better than the Garmin software that comes with the watch.
