I have a Garmin Forerunner 305 that I use for running and as a cycling computer. It is NOT a navigation or mapping device, but provides all kinds of distance, time, pace/speed type of data. It supports a heart rate monitor and cadence sensor and the data can be downloaded to various software packages.
It's a fairly old model, and is big and bulky, but can be found on sale these days for less than $150 (
$145 right now on Amazon.ca).
