Have they tried paying someone to do the work instead of volunteers? The club should have lots of spare change.

Also, it's difficult if not impossible for experienced non-military climbers to volunteer at Gage. The process is lengthy.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

DND here in Halifax have done it I believe. I am not %100 sure but I believe that non-military members have opened the dockyard gym. If one could get PSP involved they might find a way.

You're right Fred, for what ever reason it seems to be very difficult for civilians to break the barrier. I have been asked to volunteer before, but with the current setup at the club it's hard to climb much if at all as a moderator. In the 6 or 7 years I've climbed there has only been 1 moderator that has stayed...other than the current.

I'm willing to go to PSP if there is any interest from individuals (or groups) to act as moderators. I like the idea of paying moderators, currently they will pay so much a km.

Ideally, UNB climbers would make a great improvement to Gagetown, but I understand it may be unfair to ask the UNB R&I club to save CFB G.

Any interest?

I'd be interested in doing one night a week if I were paid. :)

It is my experience that volunteers are often afflicted by the syndrome. I am sure there would be some interest and I would be interested in hearing specifics.

Unfortunately finding volunteers has never been the problem. Passing the supervisors test is one of the problems, and volunteers are not always wanted.? It is quite a strange situation actually.

I've contacted PSP twice and still no responce.

I can't seem to get any response.
Not sure if any others have inquired about the wall, but with numbers comes results.
Feel free to contact the reccentre. Hopefully the more people that push for the wall to open, will make them get the wheels in motion.

Climbing at Gage appears to open, but unclear as to how long.

Same as before should contact before heading in. Known to close without warning.
