Int/Advanced is for Intermediate and Advanced climbers. It just means if you're not advanced, you'd better enter for fun, because you're gonna lose! And probably because there's like 2 "advanced" climbers in NB at the moment, and the they don't feel like just giving away the prizes to everyone who enters.

It's a comp. and for people who want to complain. well grow up, it's great for new climbers(a.k.a me) to get out and climb, get used to comps and so on. who cares about the ropes or whatever (by the way all the "advanced climbers" at UNB don't need ropes they already have them comming you their asses. who cares about the prizes, climbing is climbing,
end of story

Yeah I can just dyno, at the very top and I don't really get so scared.

Too bad I'll be out of town, far away in the capital of climbing...MooseJaw!! well, maybe not the capital of climbing but close....hahaha.

Hopefully i'll be home for the next one. i could use some non perishable food items...

oh..nevermind

John, could you make a drill press or something a prize? Fred and I already have more gear than you need to climb the Nose and enough ropes to rap it in 1 shot. well nearly.

haha

fair enough... i guess my point was just that when you have two categories why call it int/adv... but to each their own.

luke... pretty quick to jump the gun dude.... my post was called a 'question' not a complaint.

That was the most nonsensical thing I've ever read. Christ man. Focus. People can't understand what you're trying to tell them if you can't formulate a basic sentence, dude.

And to comment on the few things I could understand from your wicked awesome post:

No, people don't have "ropes comming [sic] you [sic] their asses".. everyone could use a free rope, even Fred and Zig (who were joking, incidentally).

And no "climbing isn't climbing".. What's the point of "getting used to comps" if you're not competing to win? (If not now, then later?) Lots of people compete in comps to win, I think that's the point, generally.

I have said that people don't compete to win. i was just saying that who cares about the prizes. climbing is climbing. if you have a climbing bug you don't care if you get anything more then personal satisfaction.

and how is climbing not climbing?
