Parlee Brook definately has some ice right now, but mostly frozen moss. After the temperatures this week...it is giving +1 it will take another week of cold to bring it back, but I'm betting that by mid next week if we have 4 or 5 nights of freezing temps there will be ice enough to Top Rope. You can count that Fred and I will be out, maybe as early as this sunday to check it out.
Also...as for ice in NS.... it forms long after the stuff in NB. So I'd say it will be at least the end of December before you see much action there. Once Hayes Falls and Waterfall Wall freeze up you'll get some good ice in NS.
But seriously...why would you drive to NS when you are equally close to Parlee?? it is by far the best/most consistant ice climbing that the Maritimes has.
