Kamarouska Quebec?

I am planning a military adventure training expedition to this location for 2 days of Rock climbing. Staying at camp Sebka campsite.

Has anyone camped out and climbed here?

What are your thoughts on the climbing and the campsite itself?

Super awsome sport climbing on pocketed orthoquartzite! You feel like you are in France ...amazing views and killer bakery in the village. The camping is $$$ but hot showers. You have to join the quebec climbing federation to climb at Kamou and can do so at the campground. Kamou is very busy on weekends VERY busy so You might want to think twice about a military style assault on the crag. Have you considered Welsford in NB?
It is 9 hours from Halifax to the parking lot of the bakery and if you do go please bring back some pain au chocolate and some sundried tomato loaf for me...it can be left at Ground Zero Climbing Gym.

I was looking at 18 people most likely, leaving on Monday, climb tues/wed and come back thurs

It's hard to reach the camp ground to ask about the cabins as they are closed for the season right now.

Trying to find out what the max occupancy for a cabin is to plan properly

Hello!

That is actually a perfect choice for an Adventure Training expedition!

I've have organized myself 2 Adventure Training in Kamouraska when I was working in Bagotville.

It is perfect because during the week there's nobody there! (as opposed to the weekend where it is crowded)

18 persons seems a lot to me! Make sure you meet the requirement for minimum staff from DAOD 5031-10. Make sure also that you have enought lead climber in your group...

You don't have to join the Fédération anymore to climb there.

Looks like my trip has been approved for Kamarouska!

So pumped, I've got 9 people goin and got all three cabins at SEBKA campgroun booked.
Leaving on Sunday, climb mon & tues, drive home thurs

Any thoughts or recommendations from people who have been there?

be sure to go into town to boulangerie neimand and get boat loads of pastries and breads. also the café next door has great coffee.

When you reach the cliff head right. On your left is the baby crying clusterfuuck area. Some of the best rock I've ever climbed on though. Kamou is awesome. Amuse-toi!
