Ya, it used to be "Flaming German Sausages", or was so named when I climbed it with McOooo and then with Thom.

(Remember: "Whatever you do, don't mention the war.")

Mr. Fawlty
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

If you go to Steve's site, please pause briefly to admire the Stoners' Standard Belay Method [patent pending], performed by yours truly in the photo on Punshon's site; that is, of him climbing "Fat Bottomed Girls".

For those who wish to replicate, note that the belayer must be

(1) sitting;
(2) maintain an expression of unconcern; and
(3) have both hands safely tucked behind the head.

In my defence, true to form, Steve had no gear in (yet)!

Removing one hand from behind head in order to pick nose or scratch scrotum is a UIAA approved variation on this method!

Stoners, I won't be around in July, so you will have to find another brave leader. Who will volunteer to step into the breech?

BTW my legs look great in spandex, but I have consigned my old climbing tights to the bottom of the drawer - I take enough ridicule over my ancient rainbow sling (Found 20 years ago before there were any gays!)

Just a note that I added the link to Stevo’s new site to my links page at NovaScotiaClimb.com. I used the same icon as for Stevo’s old site which has been offline for a year or so. It is the one with Steve climbing and the text “Trad Climbs in Nova Scotia”.
