There are lots of cliffs that people visit quite regularly:

First Face (Paces Lake - Please respect climbing ban)
Columbus Wall (Paces Lake)
Main Face (Paces Lake)
Sorrows End (Terrence Bay)
Railway (Musquodoboit)

I am probably missing a few.

Some other areas that do not get quite as much traffic:
Crows Nest, Eagles Nest, Easter Island, Zoo, Skapper and a bunch more I am sure I am missing.

If you make it downtown Halifax drop into MEC and pickup Nova Scotia Rock - climbing guide written by some local with grey hair... pawn cassidy or something like that.

Other than that I would say post up here. People get out pretty frequently. Climb Nova Scotia is having an Annual General Meeting Sunday April 25th at Ground Zero Climbing Gym in Burnside (Dartmouth) More details http://climbnovascotia.blogspot.com/. It would be a good way to meet some locals, exchange contacts and learn about CNS and what they can do for you.
