Check this out:
UPDATE on the Perseid meteors -- researchers are suggesting we could see a minor outburst of meteors (up to 200 an hour) for a brief time just before dawn on the morning of August 12 (so stay up late on the night of August 11/12). Details are at SpaceWeather.com at
http://spaceweather.com/archive.php?vie ... &year=2009 -- So next Tuesday night into Wednesday morning could be the best night for the Perseids this year, despite the Moon being up. The night of Aug 12/13 should also be good but at more normal shower levels, i.e. 40 to 50 meteors an hour at best.
Maybe we should have another night session on Tuesday if the skies are clear.
As for tomorrow I can go anytime in the evening/night.
