A Stoner Confession

Postby peter » Thu Apr 21, 2005 7:09 pm

I have a confession to make. I knew this when I posted the dare, but sort of "forgot".

My conscience just told me, actually, just called me on the phone, and reminded me that every route I have put up in Cassidy's book is 5.8 or under. Look for yourself.

Sure, I did try to widen the crack on Laceration, but I was unsuccessful. It is still a skin-shredding fist jam.

I have to face it: I am one of the Kings of the 5.6. I might rise above mediocrity from time to time, but not consistently.

So, what was that last topic about?! Sure, I have climbed all those routes, but not on lead. Sure, I may have climbed them naked, but not with spectators. What was I thinking?

Mea culpa. My fault. My bad. I am sorry. I have let the Stoners down.

How about this: I dare you to carry more beer in on Saturday than me! No glass, however, and anything you carry in, you take out ...
