John, the date of the comp is Saturday, March 19th. You can register any time you want but the comp starts at 7pm so you might want to come early. For an extra 15$ you can stay at the gym over night and Finals are the next morning 8:30am-10:00am.
Hope to see you there,
Nate

Also, some of the problems are going to be a bit highball and our floors are crappy to land on so.. if you're coming to the comp and you own a bouldering pad bring it so the landings will be PHAT!!(haha)

The reason I ask is for 'fairness' to non-locals if the routes are set a month ahead of time. I guess the holds aren't taped but they are still on the wall. One 'could' potentially get a feel for some of the routes thus giving them an advantage.

yes?

Fred, This is Ben, most of the holds are in a different oreintation than they will be during the competion, but your concerns are valid and will be taken into consideration in the future. I just don't want to be setting for 48 hours straight prior to the comp and letting flowery routes slip through.

yup. totally understandable. Setting routes can be a bitch. Make sure you use long hex wrenches too to avoid tweeking your wrists. I've been injured for quite a while before as a result of putting up too many holds.

Cheerio

Sorry I won't be able to make the comp. I'll be doing the french blow in Font, Verdon and Ceuse. hehe 8)
