North Conway, NH...room in the car

Postby Danger » Mon Jun 12, 2006 3:59 pm

Road tripping it up to North Conway and Cathedral Ledge,
likely leaving this Friday evening (16th), and returning Tuesday night.

Looks like room in the car for two more... split gas and share driving
Should be a good time

no tax shopping in New Hampshire. Cheep booze. and North Conway is an outlet town... so tons and tons of great deals.

Be sure to check out both IME and EMS for climbing gear.

Have a great time!

I hope it doesn't rain on you!

Sliding Board and Thin Air

Postby hornborg » Thu Jun 15, 2006 6:55 pm

I lucked out last summer with open access to Sliding Board on Whitehorse Ledge and Thin Air on Cathedral Ledge both were awesome moderate starts especially if you're new to run out slab climbing.

Cathedral is steep and shady, Whitehorse is sunny and pure slab.

EMS has a nice double-sided map style topo of Whitehorse Ledge that is pretty cool.

If you're into big, go check out Cannon Cliff at Franconia Notch instead.

Cheers,
Joel
