Call me crazy- if you want... but I'd like to give moose river (the east branch this time) another try. This is the coldest it's been and the tides are still unwilling to cooperate. There's no snow cover and after the last attempt we know that we can get to within 500M of the falls without stepping out of the vehicle.

Sure we may end up empty handed again- but WTF- the forecast calls for nothing but below zero, lake Banook and Bedford basin were both solid this morning, there's even some -10 in the next few nights...

So what'd ya say? Hmmm? Wanna give it a go?

Sure ya do... let's do it!

I think I have found a way to drive in and get to the right side of the river. I am in for Sunday.

FANTASTICO!!!!

I was out with Chris tonight- he's in too.

We stopped by the quarry and it's definitely taking shape. This is all very exciting.

I don't have time on Sunday - too bad. Have fun though and don't destroy all the ice so that we can go again next week.

If you guys get a really early start, you might have some sun early morning. Does anybody need some crampons or a pair of axes?

Good luck, take some pictures and report back.
