I would like to head out to Hall's Harbour tomorrow (Saturday) around noon, if anyone is interested. High tide is 10am, so I figure that by noon, we should be able to walk around the beach, at least to access the closest climb. If anyone is interested, reply here, or try my place in Wolfville 902-542-3708 or my cell 506-444-1373.

After reading the posts about Deep Cove and Hall's Harbour conditions, and looking at the photos, I am up for Hall's Harbour Sunday. It means lots of driving and not a lot of time to climb, but the ice looks very climbable.

Thoughts?

Let's make a final decision Saturday, by consensus here.
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

Will the +6 temps effect our day?

So, I suggest we go with the following:

8:00 a.m. at Steve-O-Renos (Brunswick and Spring Garden, behind library);

8:30 a.m. at Tim Horton's, Kearney Lake Road (beside Holiday Inn Express);

Head for Hall's Harbour, given the numbers, and the likelihood that Deep Cove will be falling on our heads in those temps.

A plan?

Seven climbers Sunday.

Sorry about folks we missed who wanted to climb, but we ran the trip on schedule and may have departed before you arrived.

Some photos from Hall's Harbour Left may be found at:
