New Line on Dover??

Postby Nate » Sat Jul 23, 2005 10:56 pm

Hey,
Was out to Dover today and climbed a new line left of Bulldog or at least I think it's new so tell me if I'm wrong. Anyways:

Bird flowers Or A Tick Mark v4- Start LH on Bulldog starting lip and RH on another crimpy sidepull. Pull through roof and continue up crack. Huge ledge at the start on the right is out. Great climb!

Also crazy props to Ben for climbing Pitbull! that was amazing.

Zig climbed a line just left of there I think. It was a standing start right next to the big drop off. It goes up the face/slab then traverse slightly left to continue up a very nice layback. This route is quite high (30+ ft). I suspect your route nate is just right of that? Where does it finish or top out? how high?
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

yeah it's probably not the same one. The crack zig did is about half way between "Grip d'homme" and "Bulldog". Almost directly over the 4ft drop off that divides the "Wave" area from the "Bulldog" area. It's more of a ropped climb than a boulder problem.
