I am on for Saturday but it will probably have to be somewhere quick drying. Wouldn't mind going back to the Cave to crack those last couple of routes.

Cheers

Stoner report

Postby Stevo » Sat Apr 30, 2005 6:12 pm

The weather was so crap anyway I went fishing. So my report is:
One 12 inch trout taken on a crock spinner, slow-trolled from my canoe.
Have to get out climbing next weekend!

Cheers

There is just something wrong with a guy talking about getting 12 inches.
Hope you enjoyed it Steve :)

Thom and I did a canoe trip: Keji, Mersey River, Rossignol, and out via the Christopher Lakes. A leisurely trip for two old guys. Saw lots of rocks, but climbed none. Slept ten hours every night. Enjoyed the rain.

Hey Peter,
Have you tried going up the Shelburne River from Rossignol? How was the portaging to link up to Christopher Lake?

Cheers

No, just down the Shelburne into Rossignol. I have done the upper Shelburne headwaters, ending in Keji, and the lower Shelburne, starting in Keji.

The Christoper Lakes portages were in good shape. One area clear cut a few years ago is a bit confusing, but adequately marked. The rest were just carries around rocky rapids, but these were flooded enough for us to just run.
