Doodz. What happened to the fixed nut above the roof on Mea Culpa?

It was a little frustrating not to see it as I pulled the roof. Luckily, the fall is pretty clean - but WTF? I sure hope you made this decision after leading it without the piece. Would’ve been nice to hear about it though?!.

Tua, your heart-felt apology almost has me in tears......

Sorry for sounding like a drama-queen upthread. It was definitely a moment and felt like a bit of a slap in the face after putting so much community-minded effort into the place. Won't happen again.

The nut doesn't have to be there. I've found it helpful when working the roof on lead...sort of cools the head a bit. But it's a brutal clip when sending. As I mentioned, the fall is clean (and probably better ‘cuz your rope doesn't rub against the lip of the roof). If you feel people can comfortably work through that section without the nut, then let’s leave it out. Based on the overwhelming outrage at its removal, I don’t think the masses will mind.

Anyways, I’m trying to get back out there on Friday to run a few routes. Let me know if you can join me.

That's a good idea, choss. Nate mentioned to me that he pulled the nut cause it was loose and therefore hadn't realized it was supposed to be "fixed". I shoulda funked with it more.

Decisions….decisions…….So, by this time the nut had been replaced (and funked with). And on this particular day, Tua was even so kind as to pre-hang a nice yellow draw on ‘er…….To Clip Or Not To Be? What would You-a do?
