Serratus

Would it be a bad idea to buy a Serratus pack now that they have closed the plant? I am referring to warranty issues, I guess MEC will go good on them, but if something needs to be replaced... what then?!! I really like the Alpine 60 Pack. Guess it'd be best to talk to MEC though.
