The Bay of Fundy coastal ice is fattening up. After enduring a long drive of Seb and Roger squabbling in the back seat, we made it to a favourite little nook of ours on the Bay. Here are some photos...

Well it's no Woodside Ice Tower, but I guess it looks alright.

Ha! If there's room in the *front seat* next time, I'd like to join you guys on an upcoming session.

No, not Halls Right. There are three pretty big routes down by Old Baxter Mill Rd. It is the right most line. The two on the left are to be bolted shortly.

What kind of rock is that?

It looks like those should make some pretty sweet mixed routes.

pretty sure the whole north mountain is Basalt, there's some limestone but it's not very thick

Bolted? To ice climb? That rock is to brittle to rock climb.

For sure, the Basalt doesn't get solid enough to bolt until you see the columnar formations typical of Trout cove and Sandy cove.

No doubt. PR is like vertical kitty litter held together with frost. Long bolts are key. Its actually best to put in long glue-ins in the warm season if possible. Long mechanical bolts scan still work wonders in complete choss as long as it freezes together.

It looks like there would be some rad mixed lines there! Man I wish I would have brought my gear with, I'd be all over that stuff.

Exploring that coast line should be like christmas morning for any new developer. I took my ATV down past those lines chuck is talking about and there is tones more beyond. The problem is access. I recommend ATV and watching the tides very closely.
