New Nova Scotia Trad Grading System

Postby peter » Wed Aug 13, 2008 9:12 pm

I am thinking we need to make adjustments to the trad grading system in Nova Scotia. Something along the lines of the ice climbing grades. Except instead of a WI rating, meaning waterfall ice, it would just be a W rating, standing for waterfall, reflecting its current water hazard level.

"Conan" 5.9+ W4. "Hurricane" 5.9 W5 (1st pitch only). Everything at the Skapper starts at W3.

Thoughts?

It is said that the reason people despair is that they still believe.
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

Only problem. I think after this weeks ( and weekends ) rain, those grades need to get bumped up!
