I had a few people come to me this week saying they were interested in a dover trip this sunday. weather is looking spectacular..+15.

I just checked the weather forecast and it looks much better for Saturday now than for Sunday (0 chance of precip - more sun). Even though I said yesterday that I would go Sunday it seems like Saturday might be the better day to go.

I'm in for Sunday. The weather looks better on Sunday... sounds like somebody can't make it on Sunday and has an ulterior motive…

The weather looks good both days, but it is warmer on Sunday with less wind. Environment Canada is calling for Sunny with a high of 15 on Sunday, but cloudy, winds gusting to 50km, and a high of 10 on Saturday. Same thing on the weather network and weather.com

As for much better... Come on, I've told you a million times not to exaggerate...

Only the weather network is calling for more sun; it is the oppositve everywhere else. I'd take more heat and less wind on Dover island in April anyday. In either case, take the forcasts with a grain of salt, but try to be objective.

hey now dave-theres nothing wrong with a little weather exaggeration hustle to get people thinking your way about bouldering- does this sound familiar " oh dude its going to be stoked out -10 is perfect sending temps, the rock is going to be stickkky. What, cold? nahh we'll be fine."

Anne- if dover doesn't work and yuo don't get out til later i'm off work at 2 on saturday if you want to go bouldering. give me a call

I might be in. I'd likely have another 2-3 with me if so. Or maybe I could just ditch them and go alone if I can find a ride out.

How early are you guys leaving? I'm not sure where I'll be sleeping Saturday night yet... :shock:

Point taken Ben, and I appreciate a good hustle - just expect me to call you on it. Just like the pair of Muira's you tried to scam

I'm good for 10am. Nobody is going to climb for 8 hours, and 11-4 is the peak time for sun and warmth. If we go at 10 and leave at 5 or 6 that is 6 hours of climbing and we still get out of there early. If we want to be at Norm's for 8 am, we'll have to be up at 6:30 and everyone's tips will be burnt out before the sun comes up. By 3pm we'll be tired as frig from climbing all morning (and getting up so damn early) and we will all be standing around waiting for the boat wondering why we spent all morning climbing in the cold when we could have waited for the 15 degree temps of the afternoon. This is April not July remember, it will be cold and caluses haven't been built up yet.

I vote we meet at the rotary and pool our resources. I don't want to drive out to Norm's with an empty car at $1.20/litre. By the sounds of it we have enough cars to go around.

Collin and I are for Sunday. We have a car, if needed, but we'd rather share and save on gas too. We live right by the rotary so meeting there sounds good!!
