Alpine Climbing Partner Needed

Postby peter » Sun Apr 02, 2006 6:28 am

I am looking for a climbing partner for the Alps, Chamonix-L'Argentiere, between July 21 and July 31, 2006.

Moderate difficulty routes, already mapped out, would be the targets. I have alpine ropes and protection over here, so just personal gear would be required (or can rent here).

You would have to get yourself to a fitness level appropriate to climbing at altitude for many hours in a row, with some rest days in Chamonix. Perhaps 6-8 hours of hard cardio, bike, run, or swim, plus some resistance training, would be required between now and then.

If you are interested, believe you can make this happen, and can make a firm commitment by the end of April, please email me at mcmacinfrance@hotmail.com.

For a look at photos of the area, see http://www.piczo.com/mcmac-in-france?g=21010377&cr=1 and click on aiguille du midi.

Cheers

Um, that would be per week, starting right away.
