Greenlaw

Just an FYI:

It appears as if the Conservation Council of NB will have volenteers camped out at Greenlaw for the next few months observing raptor movements. I'd hazard a guess that it's in all of our best interests to try and be respectful of what they are doing. Probably a good idea to leave the boomboxes at home. No doubt they've got the cooperation of the landowner(s).

I do hope that this doesn't impede our climbing.... as in.. closing more cliffs due to nesting birds... gah. I've never seen a nest in Greenlaw!

I took part in a loon watch for 2 years where I grew up. I understand the research is important... but so is climbing.

Hey, no worries guys. As the co-odinator of the hawk migration monitoring project on Greenlaw Mountain, I can assure all of you that this project will not adversely effect climbing at Greenlaw. I am a climber and have climbed there with many of you.
