It's A Way of Life

Postby Fred » Sun May 03, 2009 4:20 pm

I removed the remaining portion of the dead tree on It's A Way Of Life today. The sharp protruding dagger was a hazard if anyone fell on it and obviously had no life left in it. Also, it was no longer safe to sling although alot of people still did.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

I'll bet, like me, many others felt that tree should have been removed. I think the tree being gone will actually make the route flow much more smoothly and it removes the temptation for leaders to sling an unsafe tree.

I bet that was the most slung tree in welsford. Cept maybe for the warm and sultry tree. It's the end of an era

If you've seen it recently you'll know that one of the two piece had broken off leaving behind a dagger and the other piece was nothing but a piece of driftwood with no bark or branches.
