Hey did you guys happen to catch the clip on the CBC Halifax news last night... interview with the Atlantic Director, External Communications and Public Relations, concerning CFB Gagetown and the "enhanced Canada-US defence and development contributions" . They intend to "greatly expand" the field training and resource allocation for US combat training in the Gagetown arena aimed at the stabilization and reconstruction of Afghanistan (or some such thing). The off-shoot of all this is that there will be a much higher security restriction in the zone and all public access permits will be temporarily suspended well into the fall of 2005! The "zone" apparently includes the Welsford "cliffs" !!! Looks like a year of road trips ahead!!
