Conditions in the Welly

Postby Matt Peck » Wed Jan 17, 2007 8:09 am

Hey all.
Went into Welsford last night to play on the ice. Beautiful evening. centre line is thin, and will probably be leadable for the right leader on the weekend, with the right line forming up. Left line is very thin to nonexistant.

Great sticks even at the projected temps. One hit sticks. Lots of water flowing on the top, so with the next few days of cold it should form up nicely.

who played hooky and went in yesterday through the day?

Matthew.

Got into WW in the middle of the blizzard on Friday night, and I hear several parties got in on the weekend. Conditions were on the way to fat for two flows, with ice thick enough for at least medium screws. Hero ice with a lot of flowing water seeping down. Cave fever was quite thin, but is forming up.

With your title of your post being "Conditions in the Welly" I thought WW was Welly Wall or something like that.

I'm still in Calgary, its +10 here this morning, thank jebus for the colder temps in the mountain.

Crush: Okay. Squirt here will now give you a rundown of proper exiting technique.
Squirt: Good afternoon. We're gonna have a great jump today. Okay, first crank a hard cutback as you hit the wall. There's a screaming bottom curve, so watch out. Remember: rip it, roll it, and punch it.
Marlin: It's like he's trying to speak to me, I know it.

Marlin: Look, you're really cute, but I can't understand what you're saying. say the first thing again
