Le Dumpe and Welsford

Postby Ian_the_Barbarian » Fri Nov 18, 2005 3:25 pm

Anybody heading out to the dump on sunday? I think Sean and I probably will if the weather's good. Clean some new routes maybe.....bring some spraypaint (ok ok bad joke).

second question: what is bouldering at welsford like. Is there anything cool?

BOOOOO ...

saddle up! get on a rope!

we'll be in welsford on Saturday for sure. The bouldering on the Cochrane lane cliffs is pretty limited, but decent. Though most of it is grown over again after years of no one doing it. However there is some stuff in the baldpeak area.

Something about there being a 150ft cliff right there that makes most people walk right past the 'little rocks'

also...to everyone, don't forget to call/sign in when heading to welsford this weekend!

apparently there is a potential bouldering spot in Welsford straight up the hill behind the 90degree turn on Cochrane Lane
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Give John Lodge a call or Jones and they can tell you how to get to the ski hill bouldering spot. We have put up about 20 lines up there but there is potential for twice that. The way we use to go in is also way easier then the bald peak approach.
