I was talking to a ranger there one summer and he was saying that usually the lumber used for bridge repair, lean tos, etc. are hauled in the winter months by snowmobile.. Maybe there's a possibility you could call to figure out when this is going on and hitch a ride?
I know for a fact that its easy to get there with a snowmobile, a lot of peoples do it, most of the trail is part of the local snomo clubs.....what i'm looking for, is someone to bring us up....

ohhh.. well this is just a thought.. but im sure if you don't want to haul one down from here, you get could get the number of the snowmobile club and ask if there's anyone around who'd take you up if gave them some cash.. I'm pretty sure most snowmobilers would love to get paid to go snowmobiling for a day hah..
let us know if you find a way. I have access to a ski doo and have wanted to try it but section 5.8 of the rules and regs say you can only go on the main tote road and the major lakes.
