Exactly!
Living 1 month ahead of nature makes you loose the best month of ice climbing (March) and the best month of rock climbing (November).

(I'm still searching for ice climbing partners this weekend in Parlee)

True - we're not in RR any more ... but I'm not sure about a month of ice - - hehe...

This weekend may be my last ice climbs for the 2009/2010 season... I need more of a rock fix...maybe not RR sandstone - but I can totally settle for CL granite hehe

Listen to Anders. We get 9 months of rock and 3 months of ice. I think we should take advantage of the ice while it is still here. The days have been warmer but the nights have been well below zero all week. Parlee will be fat and you won't have to wear 3 puffy jackets all day.

Agreed, been less covered... But still so much better than the mostly vertical km slog up a 70 degree avi prone chute slope just to get to the bottom of the flows in Smuggler's

Wow it looks like alpine climbing! Real snow/ice mix is great practice! No summer in Parlee yet...

long time before there will be summer in Parlee - - with the temps - probably can climb til mid-April at least!
