St Martins Ice

Postby theriault » Sun Jan 10, 2010 9:24 am

Was in St Martins yesterday with Dom, the early season ice has survived the heat spell in patches, it makes for thin ice with mix moves, one line was lead, should be IN next weekend!! Marty

Hah, wish you had posted last night... We went into the Superbowl area and Flower Pot today. Everything very thin or out.

I lead SND at Flower Pot Saturday, had a mix start and finish with thin ice but was a great climb. Big Pack Attack, is also in half decent except for its exit.

We also bouldered a little in the limestone? cave close to the stairs. The rock was surprisingly not that cold on my fingers!

I know most of the rock on the Bay of Fundy is choss but that little cave is actually solid rock and I beleive it's limestone.

It makes me wonder if there are other chunks of this limestone scattered somewhere not so remote on the bay of Fundy...
So much rock, so little time
