Still lots of loose blocks on the Upper Tier

Postby Matt Peck » Sun Apr 10, 2005 8:45 pm

Went to try and Save The Princesses (5.6) today, but ended up needing saved myself. The main corner was a bit wet once I got up to it, so I went a little off route and pulled a big block down on top of me. I caught it with my helmet/face/shin as it went by, before being caught by Jenn my ace belayer. Today's lessons: Don't do dirty routes, Back routes you find dirty, and When trying to warm up before leading hard on your first day out of the season, just go to the solid hard stuff first.
Anybody wan't to fetch a crowbar and help me clean some blocks? When I can walk again that is..... :x

Matt,

you should have asked about that one.

It is the biggest choss pile of unprotected loose crap that is on upper tier.

Fred and I went up to do that years ago and backed off it once realizing how bad it is.

sheesh!!

Glad you aren't hurt too bad buddy.
