Hey, I'll be living near Dorchester about half the summer. I'm looking for something to play around on to keep whatever finger strength I have. I drove Cherry Burton Road up and down yesterday but couldn't find the bouldering. With all the no trespassing signs and the shooting range, I don't feel like exploring too much. Could someone please give me good directions to the spot. Thanks. David

Hey David,

Before you drive into Dorchester you will see a sign for Cherry Burton Rd., turn right here and drive until you hit the gravel road. As you hit the gravel there will be a blueberry field on your right with a gated road. Park here and walk for 30-40 minutes up the road. (DO NOT WALK IN THE BLUEBERRY FIELD OR THE PRIVILEGE OF CLIMBING HERE WILL BE LOST) At the top of the hill you will see the boulders in the distance. Walk straight to them through the trees. There are 2 small streams and a marsh section to cross, so be prepared. Finally made it!

Please take note I would only climb at Dorchester if it has been dry for a few days.. The rock is sandstone.

You should check out RBloc on Friday night..
