Ice Climbing

This year I want to go Ice Climbing , can`t wait to try it out .

Anyone got any pointers for a newbie Ice Climber .??

Take the UNB ice school this winter.

never heard of that before , crazy thats at UNB fredricton EH??

sounds fun , is it expensive though is the question

usualy it is $40 for the day and they provide all the gear
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

thats not bad at all i was talking to SteveA i`m friends with his son , he was saying that i could use my ski boots , that crampons will attach to them , am i better off doing that or just using prvided gewar if i go??

thats what i figured , he is an adamson afterall , i think he might take us over to ministers face this winter

Even at the UNB Ice school you need to have ski boots to attach your crampons too unless you have mountaineering boots.

We provide crampons, ice tools, harnesses ropes etc.

Ice School is usually the 2nd or 3rd weekend in February depending on ice conditions.

Would snowboarding boots work with the crampons????

no. unless they are hard boots for rigid bindings
