I assumed that since we are in the 'Newfoundland and Labrador' forum... but just 'newfoundland' is pretty vague!!

I was curious where abouts on the rock they are? I will be heading that way for work likely in the fall and would love to stop and see what is around.

I'm home in Grand Falls NF now. Not sure if I will make it over to St.Johns this trip but maybe later in the year.

Anyone know of bouldering in the Grad Falls area?

I recently heard rumours of a big boulder field found somewhere near buchans.

I think buchans might be somewhere near grand falls...then again maybe not, i really dont know my island.

I think I will be going there tomorrow, some of my family says the boulder field is huge. I've heard that before and seen 3 little rocks, so I will let you know.

Went to Buchans to see the rock, there is some potential from what I saw. Nothing worth making a special trip for. I never really did any research either and may have missied the good stuff.

thats disapointing, hopefully you did miss it.

Apparently Curtis and Kenny said it was rather impressive.

Some people are talking about taking a trip there from here soon i think.

The areas I checked out were the "mudd hole"- great swimming with some cool out of water bouldering, "ski hill" - not much potential with a few lines, and blue berry hill didn't spend much time there but from what I saw not much.

Hope this helps.
